The Cartwright Euro story
17 September 2001, Roger and Jamie Cartwright made the transition from used cars to set up Gold Coast MG Rover in Southport. As a sole MG Rover franchise, the dealership became very well known though-out the industry for its unique ability to specialise in the MG Roadster. This tactic saw them grow through clever marketing campaigns, repeat business and referrals.|
This successful formula was recognised in 2005 by Renault Australia, with the Cartwright Family being appointed Renault Dealers on 01 April. With the unfortunate demise of MG Rover Group UK only days after, Roger retired from the business. Although 2005 was a tough year, Jamie began the process of rebuilding the business from just a team of 2...Craig Roberts in After Sales, and himself.
In a short few years since then, Craig and Jamie have grown the business to include 14 staff solely working to enhance the ownership experience of the Renault brand. Their efforts have been rewarded on several occasions with some significant milestones being achieved:
- No. 1 Renault Dealership in Australia, September 2006 for New Vehicle Sales
- No. 5 Renault Dealership in Australia 2006 for New Vehicle Sales
- No. 1 Renault Dealership in Australia 2006 for Customer Satisfaction in After Sales
- No. 1 Renault Technician and Service Manger for 2006 win a position on F1 Team at Melbourne Grand Prix
- No. 1 Renault Dealership in Australia 2007 for Customer Satisfaction in After Sales
- No. 1 Renault Technician and Service Manger for 2007 win a position on F1 Team at Melbourne Grand Prix
- No. 1 Renault Parts Manager for 2007 for Renault Accessory Sales
- Australian Winner for 2007 Renault Global Quality Awards in Paris

The Cartwright Motor Group Team
Craig Roberts has a long history with Nissan and BMW. He has won many awards with the latter, and twice went to Munich as Australia's No.1 Master Technician. With Craig given the challenge of creating a service and parts department from scratch, Jamie set about recruiting the right people that would be passionate about Renault.
In November 2005, Cartwright Euro over achieved its targeted market share for the Gold Coast and has so ever since. By the end of 2006, Cartwright Euro were recognized as one of Renault's top 5 selling outlets in Australia. Jamie continued to build his sales team with the inclusion of Graeme Reilly in December 2006 who has been in the automotive industry for 24 years having owned Wholesale businesses. With the numbers of Renault vehicles growing on Gold Coast roads, Jamie had to expand his team again and in October 2007 recruited Joe Williams from Peter Stewart Ford, Warwick.
With 2 top UK trained Renault technicians Craig Roberts had also taken Cartwright Euro to No.1 in Australia for customer satisfaction, winning an honoree position on the 2007 ING Renault F1 Team at the Australian Grand Prix. He has achieved this award for the second year running now winning the same award in 2008 and continues to help grow the business with Jamie Cartwright in achieving excellence in customer service.
Now, only just over 2 years after being appointed Renault dealer, Jamie has created a dealership like the early MG days where each team member has a huge passion for the product. Whether it be the cleaners, the technician or salespeople...you will find that everyone at Cartwright Euro cares for your experience with Renault.
